Gil Scott-Heron in Black Wax

Region: 0
Running Time: 89 Min.

Robert Mugge's 1982 film BLACK WAX showcases the art, the life, and the personality of the great African American poet-singer-songwriter-author Gil Scott-Heron whom many have called the forefather of hip-hop and socially-conscious rap music. In 2015, BLACK WAX and the accompanying short subject IS THAT JAZZ? were newly transferred to HD video from the original 16mm film and stereo audio masters and restored.
