He went far beyond merely playing jazz, which he did superbly - he also wrote about it, broadcast it and even started a small record label to market it. This is the second DVD drawn from a 1979 TV series. Bill Price plays cornet, Kenny Davern, Herb Hall and Butch Thompson on clarinet, Benny Morton on trombone, Charles "Truck" Parham on bass, George "Red" Maddock and Hillard Brown on drums, and Art Hodes on piano.
