'Faith In Time' tells the story of singer Jimmy Scott for the first time. A jazz star in the 1950's, Jimmy Scott was at the top of his game by the time he recorded his masterpiece record, produced by Ray Charles, in 1963. Contract disputes forced it off the shelves and Scott, broke, plagued by anguished relationships and a mistrust of agents and managers, returned home to Cleveland. There he worked as a nurse's aide and a shipping clerk for nearly three decades, wrestling with poverty and drink. Fans assumed he had died until he began recording and touring again in 1991.
Jimmy Scotts fascinating story is told here.
