Kid Howard was acknowledged as the hottest trumpet man in New Orleans in the 1930s. His innate shyness, however, prevented him from venturing further afield and vying for popularity with his friend Louis Armstrong. Instead he buried himself in the music of his home town and, with George Lewis, made some of the most atmospheric records of all time.
CD contains an interview with Kid Howard as well as rare recordings from the early 1950's.
